The 2024 BMW XM Base presents a bold and unmistakable design, standing out as the first standalone M model since the iconic M1. It features an imposing illuminated kidney grille, split LED headlights, muscular sculpted bodywork, and black high-gloss trim details throughout. 23-inch alloy wheels, quad-stacked exhaust tips, and an aggressive rear diffuser highlight the SUV's performance-oriented stance, while gold accents and M-specific details emphasize exclusivity.

Performance and Efficiency:
Under the hood, the XM is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 653 horsepower (480 kW) and 800 Nm of torque. This plug-in hybrid setup (PHEV) uses an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive system. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.3 seconds, and the 25.7 kWh battery provides up to 83 km of electric-only driving (WLTP), with fuel consumption rated around 1.6 L/100 km and CO₂ emissions as low as 36 g/km.

Interior and Features:
Inside, the XM offers a luxurious cabin blending M performance with high-end comfort. It comes with Merino leather upholstery, sculpted ambient lighting, and a distinctive 3D-effect headliner. The BMW Curved Display combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central touchscreen with iDrive 8.5. Features include heated and ventilated seats, four-zone climate control, Harman Kardon surround sound, panoramic roof, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The second row is configured for spacious comfort, emphasizing long-distance capability.

Technology and Safety:
